OUR LAND
FEATURE DOCUMENTARY

Quad_Art_OurLand_LR.jpg

Through organised 'mass trespass' events, the Right to Roam movement sets out to increase public access to nature, but finds itself in conflict with England's landowners.

Our Land seamlessly juxtaposes the two sides of the debate around our access to nature, giving voice to the different perspectives: those fighting for greater access to the countryside and the landowners who are seen as the stewards of the land. Blending history with an eye on the future, Our Land charts the conflict, exploring the complex issues of access, custodianship and conservation. Articulately presenting arguments from both sides, the film challenges age-old beliefs around property that have shaped our relationship with the land for over a thousand years. And as the battle for nature continues the film asks the vital question, who truly has the right to roam?

The film was funded by BFI Doc society and Uncertain Kingdom.

It premiere at Sheffield Doc fest before its International premiere at DOC NYC.

It will have a UK/Ireland Theatrical release this spring with MET FILM

And international sales are being handled by IMPRONTA
